Long-term rental properties are the most common type of investment strategy, especially for entry-level investments and beginner investors. Long-term renting is a strategy that relies on purchasing a real estate property for the sole purpose of renting it out to tenants for 6 months or more. The owner of the property, the landlord, would sign a contract or a rental lease with the tenants who are renting the house, and the tenants would then pay a monthly rent to the landlord which can be used to cover the expenses of the property, its mortgage payments, its taxes, and insurance.
